The other day I was doing my Christmas shopping on Amazon and came across some words I had vaguely seen before but never took much interest in… “available on prime wardrobe”. I decided to click on the link and get more info. Basically, here’s how it works.
You find clothing/shoes/accessories that are eligible for prime wardrobe. You add up to 8 things (and $1,000 total) into your prime wardrobe cart, and link a valid credit card to the order. It doesn’t take debit cards, just an FYI.
Amazon ships your order to you, and you have 7 days to try them on and decide what you do and don’t want to keep. This way, you’re not out cash up front for items that may not fit, aren’t the color you were hoping for, or you find a better deal on elsewhere. It took me about 5 seconds to decide to try it because duh.
I have a whole product review video series linked on the highlights of my instagram, but below you can see actual professional photos of each item I got and their individual review! I’ve also linked my Amazon Affiliate Influencer Wish List for a ton of Wardrobe-eligible items that you should DEFINITELY check out. (I have a bunch of wish lists on there from house stuff, organizational stuff, clothing, shoes, purses, on and on and on. I spend a lot of time on Amazon, you already know!) These boots started it all. I saw them when I was searching for a cheap western-wear belt. Sometimes a pair of shoes calls to you like a siren song. That happened. I swear. These boots called my name and told me I had to have them. But I wasn’t about to spend $129 on a pair of “leather boots” until I tried them on, felt them, made sure they were legit. Ya know? So on to the actual review.
My only complaint with these boots is that my legs are short. Honestly I just wish my calves/shins were a few inches longer to make this hit closer to my ankle and where my leg is skinnier, but I can lose weight so I’m gonna stop complaining. These boots are leather. The feel is amazing. You can tell they’re a good quality boot. I do like the sole of the boot and the slight heel. The thing that surprised me the most with this purchase (but shouldn’t have because Steve Madden makes a great shoe!) is the quality of the buckles and the zipper. These boots feel more expensive than $129. They feel like these Jeffrey Campbell boots I got at Nordstrom about 3 years ago. (They’re on sale in that link, btw! Ya welcome!)
I really didn’t want to take them off. I know that $129 is pretty steep for a pair of booties, but I said the same thing when I bought the Jeffrey Campbell boots 3 years ago, but I still wear them year round and they’re in “looks like new” condition thanks to the quality of the boot. There are some things where you truly get what you pay for, and shoes are one of them.
This is a super cute hat- on other people. I googled it and found some super cute bloggers wearing it and I was SO excited to try it. It is a higher quality fabric and I love the shape, it just doesn’t love the shape of my head. (As explained in my instagram video series!)
These pants are a great purchase if you aren’t built like a 12 year old. They were too long on my super short legs, and didn’t hit me in the waist where I wanted, but the details were amazing. I loved the fabric- SOOOO comfortable and soft. The buttons were a great detail and the button holes weren’t too small (which happens sometimes) so it was easy to get on and off. If you’re a fan of Paige denim, (I am, another one of those “get what you pay for” things) try these on. Remember- you get 7 days to try them so if they don’t work, you get to return them for free!
I was super hesitant to try an “Amazon Brand” when it came to clothing. I use Amazon Basics brand stuff all the time around the house, but clothing is a little different. I am SO glad I ordered this dress. It’s too long for me (hits a weird spot on my knees) because of my height, but the quality of the fabric and the fit other than the length was AWESOME. If you’re looking for inexpensive, good quality and comfortable clothing- you HAVE to try out this brand. Seriously. Have to.
I love Levi’s brand denim. I love their jackets, I love their tops and I love their jeans. I had a favorite pair of Levis that somehow got lost in the middle of a roommate switch, and I’ve mourned them for years. When I saw that this wardrobe-eligible pair came in my size and with a SHORT length!?!?!?!?! THROW AMAZON A PARADE. Short girls and tall girls know what it’s like to never find a pair of pants that fit them. Oh what I wouldn’t give to be a 5’7” regular height female when it comes to finding pants that fit.
These jeans fit like a dream. I never want to take them off. They’re the perfect rise, and not only that- they don’t pop out in the back like most denim does when you have a booty. These jeans stretch with you and the length is perfect for me. I haven’t ever been happier with a pair of jeans. DEFINITELY KEEPING.
I really wanted to keep this belt. I wanted it to fit me (I ordered the wrong size!) and I wanted it to fit in all my belt loops. It’s definitely a wide belt, so if you have any denim with small-ish belt loops, it probably wont fit. It did fit in the Levis but not in the Paige denim. The buckle is really big, and the construction feels high quality! I will probably end up reordering for a smaller size, because overall the style and the quality of the belt is worth the money.
Since I live in Utah, I see UGG boots every year. I haven’t been able to decide if I wanted to get back into the trend. I have a pair of tall UGGs but they’re the waterproof snow-boot type, not the “fashion” type. I tried these on and the short length just doesn’t work for my short legs. I need either the super short, or the super tall. I did love how the boot was under $100, and I loved the bow details. I think if you have a longer leg, these boots will be SUPER cute.
The Steve Madden Gorgeous boot is aptly named. This boot is gorgeous. The construction is gorgeous. The details are gorgeous down to the ties in the back of the boot. What isn’t gorgeous is the bunching at the ankle I get because my legs have the inseam of a 5th grader. If you have normal/long legs, YOU HAVE TO GET THESE BOOTS. They’re under $100, the heel is chunky enough to be comfortable, the fabric is high quality and most of all, they fit my thighs. YES GIRLS. These fit my thighs. And I don’t have skinny thighs. So if you’ve got curves like I do, good news. Order these for free to see if they work for you and your style!
That’s it, guys! The 8 items I tried in my first Amazon Wardrobe Haul. I know there will be many more in the future. If you want to check out the list I’ve been curating, click the link below!
